What are the symptoms of asbestosis? When damage and scarring caused by inhaled asbestos fibers lead to stiffness in lung tissue such that the lungs cannot contract and expand normally, one will experience symptoms of asbestosis, which may include, shortness of breath, decreased tolerance for physical activity, coughing, chest pain, and finger clubbing. |
